Job Description
Our client, a publicly traded CPG company, is looking to hire a Senior Reporting Analyst in their downtown Chicago office. This individual will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller in the preparation of all external financial reporting, SEC filings and certain monthly corporate accounting close activities.
As the branded portfolio expands the Accounting and Finance department continues to grow. The Senior Reporting Analyst opening is budgeted for $80,000-$95,000 annual base salary, with guaranteed merit increases/raises each year.
Senior Reporting Analyst Responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidation of financial results from various accounting systems
- Prepare certain quarterly consolidated financial statements for inclusion in the quarterly (Form 10-Q) and annual (Form 10-K) filings
- Responsible for the preparation of footnote and MD&A disclosures including gathering required support from the businesses
- Assist with the preparation of certain monthly corporate accounting journal entries including stock-based compensation and accounting for leases
- Work cross-functionally with other groups to ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements and to support the business needs.
- Update and review XBRL for quarterly and annual filings
- Assist in the research of accounting issues and new accounting standards
- Assist in preparing and providing support to external auditors
Senior Reporting Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 2+ years of public accounting and/or industry accounting.
- Excellent communication, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
