Job Description
LaSalle Network is working with a global, private equity-backed manufacturing company in its search for a Senior Manager, Accounting. The Senior Manager, Accounting will be responsible for all accounting and monthly close activities for the US business, and will provide a critical leadership position within the finance function of the organization. 

Senior Manager, Accounting Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly and year-end close along with the timely reporting of all monthly financial information; provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management for decision-making purposes
  • Assist with technical accounting matters, including those related to complex transactions and adoption of new accounting standards
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, support and performance feedback; foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, promoting professional development and growth opportunities
  • Coordinate the external audit work for the key corporate, shared service and operational functions
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual financial statements including preparation of key footnotes, MD&A and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, increase efficiency and enhance data integrity; implement technological solutions and automation where applicable to improve productivity and reduce manual work

Senior Manager, Accounting Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA designation is highly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with financial reporting and analysis
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
