Senior Lease Analyst Requirements:
- Collaborate monthly with accounting and operations teams to identify and update new, modified or terminated leases. Ensure timely entry and tracking of lease data in LeaseQuery to maintain an up-to-date repository of active leases
- Review contracts to identify leases, perform lease classification tests and prepare lease accounting, including supporting documentation. Assist the Senior Director of Reporting in setting quarterly incremental borrowing rates and research ASC 842 for complex lease accounting matters
- Update LeaseQuery with new, modified or terminated leases to ensure timely preparation of journal entries for legal entities. Prepare and reconcile right-of-use asset and lease liability rollforwards to the general ledger, resolving any discrepancies
- Generate and reconcile lease disclosure reports, prepare annual disclosures for financial statements and streamline lease expense recording processes with plant controllers and accounts payable
- Support audits by preparing documentation, transaction support and coordinating with departments and plant controllers. Maintain internal controls over lease accounting
- Prepare quarterly and annual census and statistical reports with supporting calculations. Develop ad hoc reports based on legal entity and operational activity and assist in final submissions
Senior Lease Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years' experience in leasing
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze details and identify financial issues
