Job Description
LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading food manufacturing company in Schaumburg, Illinois, known for its commitment to quality and innovation. They produce a wide range of delicious food products that are loved by consumers across the country. Their company’s success is driven by a passionate team of professionals who are dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement. As they continue to grow and expand their operations, they are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant Consultant to join their finance team and contribute to their ongoing success.

We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant Consultant who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of cost accounting activities and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, analytical and proactive individual with a deep understanding of cost accounting principles and experience in the food industry. This role will play a crucial part in helping our client maintain cost control and profitability objectives.

Senior Cost Accountant Consultant Responsibilities:
  • Manage and analyze cost accounting data to ensure the accuracy of product costing
  • Monitor and report on cost variances and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost control measures
  • Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and audits
  • Prepare and present financial reports and cost analysis to senior management
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Work on cost reduction initiatives and process improvements
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to cost accounting in the food manufacturing sector

Senior Cost Accountant Consultant Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in cost accounting software and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance
