This candidate must have accounting experience working directly with a subcontractor, must have experience with WIP and percent completion accounting work, and must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time domestically to various company locations.
When not traveling, this individual will sit out of the Rosemont, IL office. Budget for this role is up to a base of $140,000 with target $20,000 annual bonus.
Senior Construction Accountant (Travel Required) Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership & Oversight
- Acts as a business partner to Regional Controllers
- Participates in M&A activities and due diligence
- Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- Manages audit, tax, and insurance requirements
- Oversees credit and collections
- Training & Development
- Provides comprehensive training on accounting, payroll, and ERP systems
- Evaluates and develops accounting/finance staff
- Conducts both group and individual training sessions
- Onboards new acquisitions
- Systems & Operations Support
- Supports ERP system users across departments
- Works with IT on system updates and integration
- Troubleshoots technical issues
- Assists corporate accounting team as needed
