Job Description
LaSalle Network has partnered with an established law firm with an office in the Chicago loop to identify a new Senior Client Rates Analyst.
This Senior Client Rates Analyst will directly assist partners with fee and rate negotiation, pricing, renewals analysis and fee setting. This individual must have experience in the legal field, as well as experience working directly with partners on fee negotiation and contract renewals.
This role is budgeted up to a base of $130,000 and is hybrid in their office three days a week.
Senior Client Rates Analyst Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial impact of existing rate arrangements and develop and recommend revisions as agreements are renewed
- Support updates and revisions to existing rate arrangements, implement/apply
finalized agreements and ensure that rates and other key matter data are properly assigned on an ongoing basis - Serve as the initial/primary point of contact for assigned clients on rate, pricing and reporting issues and coordinate client facing reporting
- Review and summarize client billing policies to determine the impact to ongoing matter management and the invoicing process
- Coordinate and execute the annual bill rate setting process in the U.S.
- Provide functional and administrative support for the firm's matter management/budgeting tool and coach partners and associates in its use; assist in the development of matter budgets
Senior Client Rates Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics, or a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in the legal field
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Experience in contract negotiation, renewals, fee adjustments and pricing
- SQL experience a plus but not required
- Must be able to be in office three days a week downtown
