Our CPG client is looking to build out a brand team that goes beyond traditional marketing communications to include full P&L ownership and general management brand capabilities. This newly created Senior Associate Brand Manager role is a unique opportunity to join a growing team and shape the future in the dairy category. Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, you’ll play a critical role in bringing classic general management brand skills—like consumption reporting, portfolio strategy, and innovation commercialization—to life in a rapidly evolving brand.


Senior Associate Brand Manager Responsibilities:


This is a hybrid direct hire opportunity in the Northern Chicago region. Illinois-based candidates only; no relocation available.

  • Build and run monthly business tracking processes—including consumption reporting and forecast reporting. You’ll leverage data tools like Circana (IRI) and Nielsen to translate insights into actionable business strategies.

  • Drive P&L ownership by understanding the levers that impact financial performance and executing plans to optimize growth.

  • Lead portfolio strategy and assortment optimization, ensuring each segment of the business has a clear role and the right mix of products.

  • Own the commercialization side of light innovation—including packaging updates, supplier changes, and graphic changes—while partnering closely with the innovation team.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization and externally with the global brand marketing team.

  • Partner with the eCommerce team within Sales to help integrate digital and retail marketing strategies


Senior Associate Brand Manager Requirements:

  • Typically, 2-3 years of experience post-business school or 1-2 years as an Associate Brand Manager in a CPG environment. Experience with dairy is a plus, but not required

  • Analytical thinker and proven ability to own consumption data tools (Circana, Nielsen, etc.) and turn data into actionable brand plans.

  • Solid understanding of P&L management and the financial levers of brand growth.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders.

  • Excited to roll up your sleeves and build out new processes and frameworks in a growing, less structured environment.
