Senior Accounts Receivable Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) team, ensuring efficient billing, collections, and cash application processes
- Develop and implement AR policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce outstanding receivables
- Analyze AR performance metrics, monitor aging reports, and implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce DSO
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve disputes and enhance customer payment experience
- Assess and manage credit risk by establishing customer credit limits and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
- Drive process improvement initiatives and leverage technology to streamline AR functions
- Mentor, train, and develop the AR team to ensure high performance and professional growth
Senior Accounts Receivable Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum of 7+ years of accounts receivable experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of AR processes, credit management, and collections strategies
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead a team effectively
- Experience in the consumer goods industry is a plus
