Senior Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research, analysis and resolution of payment exceptions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Assist with month-end closing and reconciliation tasks as assigned, contributing to accurate financial reporting
- Provide advanced troubleshooting support as the first point of contact for complex payment issues
- Perform monthly SOAR reporting tasks across the AP team, ensuring adherence to policies and financial controls
- Assist with metric tracking and reporting to support continuous improvement and decision-making
- Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal business partners, delivering a positive and effective Accounts Payable customer experience
- Resolve issues with a focus on customer satisfaction and process efficiency
- Undertake special duties or projects as assigned by the AP leadership team, adapting to evolving business needs and priorities
Senior Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, Accounting preferred
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable/Expense experience
- Proficient knowledge of P2P processes, Vendor Master and Financial Control concepts
- Proven experience in leading process improvement tasks or projects
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on process improvement
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
