Senior Accountant

LaSalle Network is hiring a Senior Accountant for a hybrid opportunity based in Baraga, MI (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) with a leading manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 2–3+ years of experience looking to grow their impact through reporting, variance analysis, and financial operations support. Cost accounting experience is preferred but not required.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost and inventory reports, including COGS and key financial summaries

• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual and budgeted costs

• Analyze cost structures and recommend process or expense improvements

• Maintain inventory and production cost records with periodic review

• Collaborate with supply chain, production, and operations for accurate cost data

• Support physical inventory audits and reporting

• Assist with budget creation, forecasting, and financial statement prep

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for month- and year-end close

• Monitor and report on KPIs using Excel and Power BI

• Help implement process improvements and automation within accounting workflows

• Contribute to ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed

Senior Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 2–3+ years of accounting experience

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP)

• Familiarity with Power BI and ERP systems

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

• Cost accounting or manufacturing experience strongly preferred
