As a Senior Accountant, your contributions will have a direct impact on continued expansion and integration efforts of new entities and financial health of the organization. This position offers great flexibility to work from home, as the team only goes into the office 1 day per week in their corporate HQ in the Northbrook, IL area.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Perform post-acquisition integration accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting and seamless transitions
- Manage corporate-level financial reporting and the month-end close process
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and variance analysis for senior leadership
- Support audit processes and collaborate with various teams to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function
Senior Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- 2+ years of core accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP
- Experience in financial reporting, month-end close and general ledger accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
