Our partner, a property firm in Nashville, is immediately seeking a Senior Accountant. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the Controller by managing the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years of experience in accounting.  

 

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:   

  • Direct, develop and oversee daily responsibilities for the Billing, Receivables, Collections and Payables team members 

  • Works as a liaison for Homeowners and Property Managers on company policy relating to the accounting process (i.e., homeowner payment concerns, delinquency issues and filing process, etc.) 

  • Assist with any escalated HOA concerns for managers and owners to find acceptable solutions and timely follow through 

  • Oversee the process of customer billings for all business segments such as Monthly Assessments, Special Assessments, Homeowner Statements accurately and in a timely fashion 

  • Oversee and manage the timeliness and quality control of HOA Payments received to include accurate GL account coding, avoiding duplicate payments, entering payables and verifying payee contact 

  • Review and manage delinquency process and assist and manage setup, deliverables and reporting concerning collections 

Senior Accountant Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field 

  • 5+ years proven experience in accounting, with property experience preferred 

  • 1+ years of experience supervising a team 

  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and strategic thinking skills
