Our client, a PE backed transportation company, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their office in the western suburbs of Chicago. With over 1 billion in revenue and over 200 shops nationwide, this organization has a people-first culture with long-term stability and growth opportunities. They are looking to hire a Senior Accountant that will play a critical role on their growing accounting team.
In addition to the core accounting responsibilities, this Senior Accountant will have exposure to the C-suite team to help inform business decisions. This role is budgeted for a $90,000-$95,000 base salary.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Own the month end close including posting journal entries, reconciliations and financial statement preparation
- Process AP and AR
- Cross functional work with both the internal audit and tax teams
- Create capital asset and amortization schedules
Senior Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 3-4 years of full month end close experience
- Prior experience in a mid-large sized company preferred
