Job Description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a successful industrial operating company to hire an ambitious, determined Cost Accounting Consultant with SAP experience to join a team of talented and devoted individuals. This position will be responsible for handling all day-to-day cost accounting duties while managing the SAP system.

The ideal candidate for this position should be able to effectively manage SAP needs for the Libertyville, IL office. The target per hour compensation will range from $48-$58 per hour, as well as including a competitive benefit package including 401K, parental leave, continued learning and health benefits.

SAP Cost Accounting Consultant Responsibilities:
  • Work with the leaders to develop, establish and manage cost standards
  • Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization
  • Perform month-end general and cost accounting close
  • Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and P&L account variance analysis
  • Address production variance with plant leadership identify efficiencies and opportunities
  • Maintain cost accounting system and cost ledger
  • Manage inventory turnover and drive proper inventory control management

SAP Cost Accounting Consultant Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting
  • Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
  • Proficiency with SAP accounting software required
