Sales Tax Associate Responsibilities:
- Support Billing Operations by calculating and invoicing sales tax, as well as renewing and applying for business licenses
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist in the preparation and support of sales tax audits, including gathering necessary documentation
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of tax payments across multiple taxing jurisdictions
- Prepare general ledger entries for assigned accruals and submit reconciliations to management for review
Sales Tax Associate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of sales tax experience
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar ERP/accounting systems, with the ability to navigate and manage transactions within these platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Avalara or Vertex Software is preferred
