Job Description
LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading $15 billion global healthcare company embarking on an exciting spin-off divestiture initiative. As part of this transformational project, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking organization working on a high-profile international project.

This is a contract that is expected to last through the end of the calendar year with potential to extend.

This position will be supporting teams in Poland and Italy, therefore flexible hours are required. Applicants must be open to starting by 6:00am EST at the latest, ideally starting earlier.

IFRS Experience is required.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review and analyze financial statements and reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for the divestiture project
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and account analysis
  • Support the maintenance of accurate financial records
  • Collaborate with international offices in Poland and Italy to ensure consistent and accurate financial data reporting; provide guidance on accounting matters as needed
  • Play a key role in the divestiture project by assisting with financial due diligence, identifying potential accounting issues and proposing solutions to mitigate risks
  • Assist with external audits and support the implementation of audit recommendations; ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and company policies
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency and improve financial reporting accuracy
  • Work closely with various departments, including Finance, Tax, Legal and Operations, to gather financial data and ensure alignment with the divestiture project's goals
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to foster professional growth and development

Senior Accountant Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field; relevant advanced degree (e.g., MBA, master's in accounting) is a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on IFRS; prior experience with divestiture projects or mergers and acquisitions is highly desirable
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent is preferred
  • Candidates must be open to flexible working hours and willing to start early in the day (around 5:00 am EST) to accommodate international collaboration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus
