The Remote Income Tax Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of income tax management within the organization. This role is ideal for a tax professional with a solid background in ASC 740 tax provision, corporate income tax and GAAP. They are targeting candidates with over 5 years of experience with S corporations and entities, demonstrating a thorough understanding of tax compliance and strategic tax planning.
This role is open to candidates on a remote basis, if within two hours of Chicago, Illinois. Candidates will be required to be in the office 5 days a week. Budget is up to a base of $165,000 with additional annual bonus opportunities.
Remote Senior Income Tax Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage and review the calculations for all income tax installments, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Leverage annual budgets and financial forecasts to optimize tax payments, minimize cash outflows and expedite the collection of applicable refunds
- Oversee the collection and coordination of information required for tax compliance with various subsidiaries and manage relationships with external service providers
- Responsible for the review of all U.S. income and franchise tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely filings
- Monitor and manage the filing of all annual reports, ensuring adherence to deadlines and regulatory requirements
- Review and validate tax calculations related to fixed assets to ensure compliance and accuracy
Remote Income Tax Senior Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 5+ years of corporate income tax experience
- Extensive experience with S corporations and various entities
- Proficiency in ASC 740 tax provision
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail capabilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory
