Job Description
LaSalle Network has partnered with a well-respected nutrition supplement manufacturer to hire a Quality Manager. This position will be onsite in their Aurora, IL location.

Quality Manager Responsibilities:  
  • Manage a team of 15 
  • Interact with internal teams (Client Services, R&D, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain)
  • Run FDA, SQF and NSF audits
  • Maintain and improve product safety and quality culture
  • Interact with customers 

Quality Manager Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3-5 years of QC/QA experience
  • Basic understanding of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) programs
  • Document review and writing (SOPs, specifications, etc.) 
  • Food allergen knowledge (from experience or education)
  • Basic microbiology knowledge
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Willingness to learn new skills and concept
  • Success in implementing new procedures and verifying that they are working as intended
  • Experience working with customers to ensure their expectations are met (or exceeded) 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Organized (or able to maintain organized chaos - need to keep things on track) 
  • Ability to assess risk and justify decisions based on risk assessments
  • Ability to lead a group – meetings, training sessions, etc. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team of diverse personalities
  • Supervisor or managerial experience
  • Food science background preferred
  • Experience with SQF and/or NSF certifications and audit process preferred
  • FDA regulatory compliance and audit experience preferred
  • Sanitation and pest control experience preferred
