Job Description
We are working with a general contractor in the Chicagoland area looking to add a Project Manager to their growing team. This organization is family owned and has been around for generations. With clients in both the public and private sector, this organization has a diversified portfolio of offerings. 

This Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining direct client communication on major projects. You will coordinate with all vendors, handle documentation and management of the overall project as well as potentially manage internal staff such as assistant project managers, project engineers and suppliers. 

Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Oversight and compliance related to all project documentation
  • Manage all material orders, logging and documentation of submittal status as well as push for approvals
  • Build a collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders including customers, engineers, foremen, construction managers, suppliers and any subcontractors
  • Track and manage real time cost vs budget projections; accurately forecast project costing and expected profitability of projects
  • Understand manage schedule needs for daily, weekly and beyond scheduling requirements for multiple projects

Project Manager Requirements:
  • 3+ years in project management
  • Ability to read prints and product accurate take-offs for a variety of different types of projects
  • Computer skills – proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
