Job Description
LaSalle Network has partnered with a machine tool manufacturer based in the Chicago suburbs. They are seeking a Product Manager. This position can be offered as a remote option, however candidates based in the Chicagoland area are preferred. This position requires 75% travel and offers excellent benefits and perks.
Product Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and support customer relationships and sales opportunities
- Promote the sale of company products and provide technical sales support
- Liaison with Area Sales Managers and Application Teams to assess customer requirements
- Responsible for achieving forecasted sales targets for respective technologies
- Frequent communication with the overseas manufacturing factories to discuss specific technical requirements and suggestions for developments
- Visit customer facilities to ensure the correct technical solution has been proposed
- Make overseas visits to factories
- Support the Engineering teams with demonstrations
Product Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Recognized certification in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of professional experience in the Machine Tool industry/ Project Management experience
- Strong sales and technical understanding with a proven skills in new business wins, account retention, development and growth
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Extensive experience of working with Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenheim and Mitsubishi control systems
- Excellent written and verbal reporting, documentation, presentation, communication and interaction with Senior Management and key stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Proven positive performer with interpersonal and organizational skills
- Extensive experience in CAD/CAM software packages and Sound Engineering
- 75% travel
