Our client, a managed services organization, is in need of a Full-Time Principal Security Architect. Their ideal candidate will have a tenure background in Security and Sales experience. This person will report directly to the CISO. The pay for this role is a base salary of $200,000 with additional compensation benefits and sales commissions. This position is 100% Remote and will require up to 20% of occasional travel.
Principal Security Architect
Description
Our Client is seeking a Principal Security Architect to help grow their Security Practice. The main responsibility will be providing hands-on security architecture and engineering. Architecture will include creating detailed designs, performing assessments, developing runbooks for engineers, and leading projects for customers. Engineering will involve hands-on delivery and implementation. Priority of work is as follows: delivery (post-sales), sales enablement (pre-sales), and integration creation. Bonuses are tied to Delivery Billable Hours (individual goal) and a Security Sales Target (team goal).
Responsibilities
– Role is split across sales and delivery (ideally 50/50 but can vary).
– Perform delivery work for customers: architecture, engineering, assessments, and consulting.
– Collaborate across practices, solution architects, and sales teams.
– Respond to RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
– Create BOMs, SOWs, and LOEs.
– Develop and present collateral.
– Create architecture design artifacts (HLDs and LLDs).
– Create pre-sales collateral (presentations, feature matrix, etc).
– Vet new technologies and OEMs; create cross-platform integrations.
– Train and educate the security team and solution architects.
– Work directly with sales reps and delivery engineers.
Requirements
– Ability to present and communicate at all levels of an organization.
– Strong written and verbal skills, including PowerPoint and architecture diagrams.
– Ability to create pre-sales and delivery artifacts from scratch.
– Experience managing pre-sales opportunities through to close.
– Ability to lead or contribute to successful project delivery.
– Analyze customer requirements and propose implementable solutions.
– Fast-paced work environment readiness and problem-solving skills.
– Co-develop and co-deliver workshops and executive briefings.
– Approximately 50% professional services delivery/billable time.
– Willingness to travel 10-20% as needed.

Experience with:
– Enterprise data security, security deployments, and infrastructure within the Fortune 250 space.
