Our client is a Consumer Product retailer that has been in business for 100 years. Based in the Chicagoland area, this organization has been growing exponentially for the last three years. Subsequently, the Annual Audit Plan is growing each year. They are in search of a Principal IT Auditor to join their team in Oak Brook, IL. Currently, the IT Audit Team performs 12-13 audits per year. This Principal IT Auditor will be responsible for 4 of those Audits. This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in office. This position is contract to hire, with a $130k base salary + bonus after conversion.

Principal IT Auditor Responsibilities:
  • First year will be hands on with their manager’s assistance and guidance (conducting 3-4 audits)
  • Review inventory systems, conduct process meetings, scoping, audit planning, identifying risks and controls, testing and figuring out gaps and recommending process improvements
  • Need to be able to take IT jargon and make it clear so upper management and C-Suite can understand documentation and recommendations even if it is all IT related
  • Responsible for the entire project, reporting to their manager who will assist in the first year; autonomy thereafter
  • Major asset is inventory – candidates who have reviewed inventory systems would be a plus (distribution, retails, warehouse industries)

Principal IT Auditor Requirements:
  • Experience with ITGC’s
  • Experience Auditing large ERP systems
  • SAP ECC or S4/HANA experience would be a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Data Analytics experience
  • Additional certifications are a plus
  • PCI Compliance experience is preferred
