As the Plant HR Manager, you’ll be partnering with plant leadership to provide managing support throughout the location, including but not limited to: labor relations, training, safety, benefits administration, process improvement, compensation administration, policies/procedures and employee wellness. The ideal candidate will want to roll up their sleeves and dive into any issue by applying their experience to problem solve and work well with the employees as well as senior management. This candidate will also have excellent communication and ability to build meaningful relationships with senior plant management and employees.

Plant HR Manager Responsibilities:

  • Serve as subject matter expert for all things human resources for employees including but not limited to: labor relations, compliance, benefits, compensation, training, coaching, performance management, safety, and HR strategy
  • Partner with the Plant Management and Corporate HR on implementing HR initiatives throughout the location
  • Support all employee and labor relations issues, investigations, documentation, and exit interviews/terminations as needed
  • Provide advice and management to employees to ensure proper implementation of facility practices and policies
  • Oversee performance management, training and development, and compensation design, as well as assistance in administrating training to employees across facility
  • Provide support in compliance and employment laws

Plant HR Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field, required
  • 5-15 years of HR work experience in a manufacturing environment or distribution center required
  • PHR and/or SPHR certification not required, but a plus
  • Union experience required
  • Driven, motivated, and ambitious aspiring HR professionals are a must
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral
  • Experience with developing employee programs
  • Positive attitude and flexibility are a must
