Ready to level up your payroll career? LaSalle Network is partnering with a supportive, high-performing company in Westmont, IL, to hire a Payroll Specialist. This contract-to-hire position pays $55,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience, and offers a hybrid work schedule with three days per week onsite. If you love numbers, process improvements, and solving complex payroll puzzles, this role was made for you.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 1,000+ multi-state employees accurately and on time
- Maintain and update payroll information in Workday, ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Audit and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy of wages, taxes, and deductions
- Handle payroll inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure proper processing of new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments
- Assist with quarterly and year-end reporting, including W-2s and tax filings
- Stay current with federal and state payroll laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment
- Workday Payroll experience required
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, and compliance
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
