LaSalle Network is hiring for a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join a well-established construction firm headquartered in Broadview, IL.
This is a full-time contract-to-hire opportunity for a Payroll & Accounting Specialist who thrives in a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves environment. This newly created role offers visibility, ownership and the chance to become the go-to expert for payroll compliance and construction accounting operations.
Reporting directly to the Vice President, the Payroll & Accounting Specialist will own full-cycle payroll for a 50–60 person workforce, with a strong focus on certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance. Beyond payroll, this Payroll & Accounting Specialist will support AP, AR and job billing while collaborating across accounting, HR and operations.
What’s the job?
- Process weekly in-house payroll every Monday for 50–60 employees
- Manage all certified payroll reporting and Certified Transcripts of Payroll (CPT)
- Upload and maintain accurate payroll data in IDOL systems and LCPtracker
- Conduct forensic payroll audits on long-term projects to ensure prevailing wage compliance
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable and job billing activities
- Assist with HR administration, safety documentation and general office support
What’s needed?
- Proven experience as a Payroll & Accounting Specialist in construction
- Deep knowledge of certified payroll, prevailing wage and IDOL requirements
- Hands-on experience with LCPtracker and government compliance portals
- Experience with Viewpoint/Spectrum preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional communication skills with field teams and executive leadership
