Payroll/Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll for salaried, hourly and union employees using Paylocity
- Maintain employee payroll records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Respond to payroll and benefit-related employee inquiries
- Monitor and implement changes to payroll regulations and compliance standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll processing
- Review and reconcile carrier invoices and approve for payment
- Fund employee 401(k) and HSA contributions
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of A/P, A/R, Billing, General Ledger, reporting, audits and analysis of financial statements
- Prepare regular financial reports and analysis
Payroll/Accounting Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 3+ years of payroll/accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Proven understanding of payroll systems, compliance, and reporting
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Paylocity and Sage 300
- Organized, adaptable and able to problem-solve under pressure
- Excellent communicator and team player
