We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, managing patient inquiries, and maintaining accurate records while upholding the highest standards of customer service.

Patient Service Representative Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and empathy
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of provider schedules
  • Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, including collecting co-pays and verifying insurance information
  • Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone, email, or in-person interactions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and effective communication
  • Handle billing and payment processes, providing clear explanations to patients as needed
  • Address and resolve patient concerns or escalate to appropriate departments when necessary

Patient Service Representative Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role is a plus
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and patience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
