 If so, then our Patient Access Specialist position may be a great match for your interests! The Patient Access Specialist will be responsible for providing a first-class experience from patients that call the facility with inquiries, appointments or consultations. Additional tasks include assisting patients with promptness, accuracy, and an overall personal touch.

Located in the Northwest Side of Chicago and easily accessible by public transportation this client is looking to add people who have experience in healthcare and call center experience. This role offers a great training program and outlines clearly defined goals and metrics to add to your skillsets!!

Patient Access Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Handle high volume of inbound phone calls from patients
  • Screen patients, handle sensitive medical information
  • Compose messages to providers regarding patient symptoms and Rx request
  • Update patient demographics and insurance information
  • Adhere to HIPAA

 

Patient Access Specialist Requirements:

  • GED or High School Diploma required; college degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in healthcare administration
  • 1 year high-volume call center experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
