Job Description

LaSalle Network has partnered with one of the fastest growing security services providers. Our client is looking for an Operations Accounting Manager to join their accounting department in its strategic growth objectives. They are located in the West Loop of Chicago and offer a hybrid schedule. 

This Operations Accounting Manager will manage a team, oversee month-end close across various business lines and have a seat at the table to make impactful business decisions.

Operations Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee the daily accounting operations for accounts receivable collection, billing and accounts payable teams
  • Strong knowledge of AP practices, including but not limited to managing payment runs, including checks and ACH, managing corporate purchase card program and managing 1099-year end compliance
  • Act as the liaison between accounting and business operations for business licensing requirements and other compliance requirements
  • Review outgoing payments to ensure they are compliant with financial policies and procedures
  • Ensure month end activities are completed on schedule and with accuracy
  • Ensure all suppliers are paid in accordance with agreement terms and coded accurately before being transferred to the general ledger
  • Identify, establish and document internal controls relevant to this function
  • Assist in the design and implementation of process improvements, including standardization, enhancements and potential automation of existing processes and systems
  • Independently organize and oversee efforts and activities for the team; manage, coach and mentor staff

Operations Accounting Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong planning, organizational and decision making skills
  • Management experience
  • Process improvement skills required
  • Advanced Excel skills
