This role is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity, and the job seeker must be based in Ohio in order to be considered for this position. The expectation is for this individual to perform travel/field work frequently while on the job and travel expenses/mileage are both reimbursable.

Networking Field Engineer Responsibilities:
- Work in tandem with 2-other sales members at our client and will be performing on-site surveys/audits of their customers’ network environments. The customers that are being supported are based in Ohio and are schools, libraries, universities and/or in the public sector
- Perform on-site walk throughs of the network environment and then handling tasks post walk throughs (i.e., diagramming the environment and the planned solution, budget, time, etc.)
- The Networking environments this person would be surveying consists of traditional tools/technologies found in network environments (i.e., routers, switches, firewalls, wireless tools, fiber wires, security, etc.) and physical security tools (i.e., Cameras and Access Controls). There is no preference for specific manufacturers or network tool providers, but the more variety of experience you possess, the better fit you’d be for this role
- The day-to-day work is all going to be project based but varies in size/complexity and the Networking Field Engineer needs to be based in Ohio, so they can travel to the different client sites with limited notice. This individual will be expected to use a personal vehicle for travel/fieldwork and all mileage/travel is reimbursed
Networking Field Engineer Requirements:
- 3+ years of well-rounded experience with Networking Tools/Technologies Routers, Switches, Access Points and Wireless tools/technologies
- Experience with physical network components (i.e., security cameras, access control systems, etc.) are considered a plus
- Proven/previous experience in performing field-based network consulting work
- Relevant/active certifications (CCNA, A+, Network+, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
