Job Description
Our client, America’s most complete business supplier, is currently seeking a Network Technician to join their team in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago. This company provides workplace products, equipment and related services to different companies. This organization is looking to expand its team as they have seen a rapid growth in business.

Network Technician Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical tasks related to a customer network, including network evaluations, print driver install, scan driver install
  • Install network related items such as firewalls, routers, network switches and customer specialized software programs
  • Installation and implementation of network cabling
  • Respond and resolve customer level 1 tech support requests via phone or email in a timely and professional manner
  • Attention to detail and documentation tracking in various applications with an emphasis on account history retention
  • Multi-task and successfully take on new duties as the installed customer base changes and grows
  • Cooperatively perform other related duties as assigned

Network Technician Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Network Services environment
  • Microsoft Certification, Google Certification, Windows and Windows Server experience, Google Gmail knowledge, Apple and iMac experience
  • Experience using remote connectivity software to resolve customer support issues
  • Experience in a Network Services environment, which includes print and scan driver installation, and Network related install of Firewalls, Switches and Routers
  • Knowledge of implementing a Network
  • Working knowledge troubleshooting, installing and repairing the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with existing hardware/software and knowledge of and/or interest in emerging technologies
