Job Description

Our client, one of the fastest growing third-party logistics service providers, is looking to hire a National Account Executive to join their growing sales team. This organization dedicates themselves daily to being the most customer-oriented, reliable and responsive provider in the marketplace.

Due to growth, our client is searching for a National Account Executive for their Chicago-based office. The National Account Executive will be a key player with the growth of their sales plans on a national level.

 

National Account Executive Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and achieve strategic objectives
  • Pro-actively manage a sales pipeline and develop a strategy for long-term sustained success
  • Create sales strategies by gathering market information, analyzing opportunities and documenting sales methodology
  • Prepare presentations and deliver to prospective clients
  • Generate quality sales leads by networking, cold-calling prospects and building relationships as part of a coordinated sales strategy
  • Record all opportunities and communications using CRM
  • Actively participate in sales meetings and reporting on sales goals, forecasting and wins
  • Build new relationships, maintain and grow existing relationships with clientele

National Account Executive Requirements:

  • 2+ years of 3PL customer experience required
  • Competitive “hunter” personality
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills – excellent follow-up skills are essential
  • Customer & solution-focused approach
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to adapt easily to different and sometimes stressful situations
  • Energetic, hard-working, entrepreneurial, accountable and pro-active
  • Problem-solving skills to be able to propose solutions that meet & exceed the customers’ business needs
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
