Job Description
Are you an experienced Medical Coder with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for precision? As a General Medical Coder, you'll play a vital role in accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care. If you're looking to contribute your expertise to a dynamic and collaborative team, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity.

Applicants must be AAPC CPC or AHIMA CCS, RHIT or RHIA certified and have at least one year of experience as a medical coder. This is a remote position.

Medical Coder Responsibilities:
  • Assign diagnostic and procedural codes to patient charts utilizing ICD-10-CM and CPT codes
  • Abstract necessary clinical information for accurate coding
  • Ensure compliance with coding rules, regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve coding discrepancies and discrepancies in clinical documentation
  • Stay up to date with coding guidelines and industry changes

Medical Coder Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience (outside of apprenticeship) as a Medical Coder
  • Proficient in medical terminology, disease processes, pharmacology, and ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
