LaSalle Network has partnered with a highly reputable healthcare organization located in Palatine, IL, to hire a Medical Biller/Collector. This organization is known for its commitment to providing exceptional patient care and is looking for a dedicated professional to join their team on an onsite basis.
As a Medical Biller/Collector, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of billing and collection functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with medical billing experience who is looking to work with a stable and well-established healthcare provider.
Medical Biller/Collector Responsibilities:
- Review and process medical claims for accuracy and compliance with industry regulations
- Follow up on unpaid claims and work with insurance companies to resolve payment issues
- Manage patient accounts and address any billing inquiries or discrepancies
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other departments to ensure correct documentation and billing codes
- Perform collection activities, including sending statements and negotiating payment arrangements
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all healthcare regulations (HIPAA, etc.)
Medical Biller/Collector Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in medical billing and collections, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong knowledge of insurance claims processing and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work onsite in Palatine, IL
