Our client, a well-established industrial manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production by developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes. This role serves as a key liaison between engineering, production, and quality teams, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and to specification.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including work instructions, process routings, and bills of materials in the ERP system.

  • Generate and update technical drawings and schematics using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause resolution.

  • Identify and implement process improvements focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction using lean manufacturing techniques.

  • Assist in the design and development of custom tooling and fixtures to support production needs.

  • Support new equipment installation, process validation, and technology upgrades.

  • Recommend and implement changes to improve plant layout, process flow, and equipment utilization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) preferred.

  • 2–3 years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in metal fabrication or machining a plus.

  • Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience working in an ERP system to manage work orders and production data.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills; able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and basic project management principles.
