Our client, a well-established industrial manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production by developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes. This role serves as a key liaison between engineering, production, and quality teams, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and to specification.
Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including work instructions, process routings, and bills of materials in the ERP system.

Generate and update technical drawings and schematics using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause resolution.

Identify and implement process improvements focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction using lean manufacturing techniques.

Assist in the design and development of custom tooling and fixtures to support production needs.

Support new equipment installation, process validation, and technology upgrades.

Recommend and implement changes to improve plant layout, process flow, and equipment utilization.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) preferred.

2–3 years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in metal fabrication or machining a plus.

Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Experience working in an ERP system to manage work orders and production data.

Excellent communication and time management skills; able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and basic project management principles.
