Job Description
LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading foodservice wholesaler and distributor to find a Manager, Data Integration. The Manager, Data Integration is responsible for all people, process and technology related to acquiring data from source systems, storing and preparing it for use by a wide variety of potential consumers utilizing BI Reports, Analytics, Data Science tools/models and other strategic integrated applications. They will oversee all aspects of architectural design, security compliance, data privacy, system health and development. The Manager, Data Integration will also be expected to assist in the development and refinement of strategic initiatives and provide communication updates to key business leaders.Manager, Data Integration Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and evolve technology, standards, processes and procedures in the areas of data ingestion, preparation and architecture with a focus on speed, agility and cost effectiveness
- Stay on top of emerging technical trends outside the organization to ensure solutions stay innovative and flexible ahead of future business needs
- Provide guidance/oversight to direct reports to ensure work output is aligned with organization priorities and efforts are commensurate of the business value they produce
- Coach, mentor and provide effective feedback to develop and retain employees while seeking growth opportunities for high performers to develop into future leaders
- Build, manage and measure relationships with vendors/partners and technology providers
- Assist in creation of SOWs with staffing partners and technology providers
- Provide budget estimates and evolve cost allocation models for both labor and technology to ensure utmost transparency to our business partners
- Encourage and promote a culture of continual improvement of solutions after implementation
- Effectively present and evangelize solutions with non-technical leaders and stakeholders
- Manage relationships with IT Architecture and Security teams to ensure solutions developed comply with best practices, standards, and evolving outside laws/regulations
- Create and maintain inventory of our data assets to allow customers to increase leverage of work and reduce creation of redundant solutions
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Manager, Data Integration Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or in a related discipline
- 6 years of related experience
- 2-3 years of experience providing people/project management leadership
- Strong understanding of data ingestion design, data modeling patterns and multiple data modeling techniques
- Strong understanding of SDLC best practices with an emphasis on DW/BI practices
- Significant, demonstrated experience with development and support of mission-critical BI/data analytics applications in a large organization
- Must be forward and strategic thinking, with a strong passion for evaluating emerging technologies along with a demonstrated history of technology and process innovation
- Experience innovating with cloud-based technologies
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Experience in managing vendors and negotiating contracts/SOWs
- Demonstrated problem solving, decision making and leadership skills
- Travel up to 15%; ability to work extended hours or weekends as necessary
- Experience with Microsoft cloud-based technologies like Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions and Logic Apps
- Experience with Snowflake and other database
- Strong understanding of Analytics/Data Science tools such as Alteryx, ML, Spark, Python, R and Databricks
- Experience with IoT tools and streaming analytics
- Experience developing solutions utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Chef and Ansible
