Our client, located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL, is seeking a highly motivated supply chain professional to support their ongoing growth in the dynamic healthcare industry. As a Logistics Coordinator in the healthcare sector, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care. Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance medical supply procedures
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of medical supply procedures
- Implement new processes within the surgical department to optimize efficiency, accuracy and compliance with industry regulations
- Adhere to established processes and procedures
- Foster strong collaboration with various hospital departments
- Coordinate seamlessly with procurement, nursing, operating rooms and administration
- Follow established processes and procedures to ensure smooth communication channels and streamlined supply chain workflows
- Partner with procurement for cost-saving initiatives
- Collaborate closely with the procurement team to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Leverage supply chain knowledge to contribute to strategic decision-making
- Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for cost reduction
- Negotiate contracts and explore alternative sourcing options to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or patient safety
- Actively address internal department heads' requests
- Prioritize and fulfill requests from internal department heads promptly
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet specific needs and requirements
- Effectively manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts and optimize resource allocation
- Ensure high inventory levels for on-demand supply to enhance patient care delivery
Logistics Coordinator Requirements:
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of supply chain, inventory or logistics experience preferred
- Excel proficiency required
