Job Description
Our client, a leading healthcare company, is seeking a Leave Management Specialist to join their Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA and other state and federal leave laws. The Leave Management Specialist will work closely with employees, managers and HR business partners to coordinate and administer leave requests, ensuring compliance and providing guidance throughout the process.

Leave Management Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees requesting leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA and other applicable leave laws
  • Review and process leave requests in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Communicate with employees, managers and HR business partners to ensure understanding of leave policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators, medical providers and other external partners as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date leave records and documentation
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding leave of absence policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and legal counsel to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Participate in the development and implementation of leave of absence policies, procedures and training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Leave Management Specialist Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in leave administration or related HR field
  • Thorough understanding of FMLA, ADA and other state and federal leave laws
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in HRIS and leave management systems
