We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Fixed Asset Accountant to work remotely on a contract for one of our top healthcare clients. In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight and accuracy of fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Lead Fixed Asset Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full life cycle of fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, valuation and disposal
  • Oversee the fixed asset accounting team, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
  • Prepare and record fixed asset accounting entries, including depreciation calculations and adjustments
  • Reconcile fixed asset subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger
  • Manage periodic fixed asset inventories and ensure physical asset records match accounting records
  • Work with operations and other departments to identify, track and value fixed assets
  • Analyze and troubleshoot discrepancies in fixed asset records
  • Prepare fixed asset reports for management and regulatory purposes
  • Stay up-to-date on accounting standards and regulations related to fixed assets
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new fixed asset accounting processes

Lead Fixed Asset Accountant Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in property accounting/asset management
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to reconcile complex project and account balances
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Lawson/Infor is required

This Lead Fixed Asset Accountant position is a remote opportunity, but you must reside in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia or West Virginia. The position is a contract role for 10-18 months and will pay up to $42 per hour.
