Job Description
LaSalle Network is partnered with a highly analytical, team-oriented, derivatives trading firm that employs a dynamic, disciplined approach to trading across a variety of products and strategies. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Junior Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their project management career while contributing to exciting projects in the field.

Junior Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing end-to-end project lifecycles, from initial planning to successful execution and closure, under the guidance of senior project managers
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration and alignment on project goals and objectives
  • Utilize Jira and Confluence to create, update and maintain project documentation, user stories, tasks, and timelines
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives, ensuring that the team follows Agile best practices
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators and report status updates to stakeholders
  • Help identify potential risks and issues and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve processes and workflows, striving for increased efficiency and productivity
  • Support the implementation of project management best practices and methodologies across the organization

Junior Project Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong interest in project management and familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence is a must; certification in Jira or Confluence is a plus
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is desirable
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, promoting a collaborative team environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Relevant internships, coursework, or personal projects related to project management and Agile are a plus
