Job Description
LaSalle Network is partnering with a $500M+ company looking for a strong Senior Accounting Manager level candidate. Candidates seeking to be a part of and contribute to a successful company should be interested in this opportunity.

The ideal candidate for this position should be able to effectively manage themselves and staff with strict time constraints, lead while also being a team player and challenge others to be the best people possible.

The target per hour compensation will range from $60-$80 per hour. This is a true consulting engagement and will last for 3-4 months.


Senior Accounting Manager Responsibilities
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close along with the timely reporting of all monthly financial information for all clients
  • Standardize the process for and review key reconciliations in the close process 
  • Assist in the company’s evaluation of technical accounting matters, including those related to complex transactions, emerging areas and adoption of new accounting standards
  • Serve as a key resource for special projects with the ability to both lead as well as provide meaningful contributions
  • Assist in the drafting and/or updating existing financial, accounting and other business policies, including technical accounting guidance, as needed, to support the business
  • Address existing capability gaps and identifying opportunities to enhance and better leverage process and technology to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Build, lead, mentor and develop a team; this includes growing junior-level team members, stretching senior-level team members, monitoring and balancing workloads to ensure timely and accurate work product, and reviewing work to provide coaching/feedback
  • Coordinate the external audit work for the key corporate, shared service and operational functions/accounts
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual financial statements including preparation of key footnotes, MD&A and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP
  • Recognize the different perspectives and priorities of executives and functional groups within the Company to effectively meet the diverse needs and timing of the various business leaders including the development of standardized and ad-hoc reporting
  • Instinctively recognize inconsistencies in financial data and initiates appropriate corrective action

Senior Accounting Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance; CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of accounting experience preferably with a blend of public accounting and public and/or private company experience
  • A strong knowledge of US GAAP 
  • Proven track record for process improvement especially through technology and automation 
  • A strong knowledge of internal controls as well as the implementation of controls within a growing organization 
  • A desire to learn, a strong intellectual curiosity and an infectious positive attitude 
  • A sense of urgency to meet deadlines and the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time 
  • A strong work ethic and the highest level of integrity 
  • A proven track record of managing and leading teams to success 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to tailor coaching style to the unique individual 
  • Prior experience hiring, coaching and developing a team 
  • An ability to cultivate effective relationships with colleagues 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interface and connect at all levels of an organization 
  • Flexibility as it relates to changing priorities and working in gray areas 
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and excel in a fast-paced environment 
  • Determined personality with a desire to recognize improvement opportunities and drive change 
  • Ability to prepare timely and accurate reports with an excellent attention to detail 
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Financials, particularly General Ledger, preferred 
  • Strong Excel skills
