Job Description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a leader in personal care manufacturing that has been around since 1922. They are in search of an Integrated Strategic Sourcing Manager for their Coppell, TX plant.

Integrated Strategic Sourcing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the customer to understand procurement priorities and align them internally with cross-functional teams
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw materials and packaging components
  • Negotiate elements of assigned supplier relationships including pricing, delivery and long-term contracts
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize value and reduce risk
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and identify new sourcing opportunities
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance and recommend corrective action as needed
  • Align and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and ensure communication of KPI performance to internal and external stakeholders
  • Build successful partnerships with both the supplier and customer
  • Work directly with customers to align on strategic priorities and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Identify and create solutions to a variety of inventory conditions to avoid expired materials and aged inventory
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales and Scheduling to ensure the accurate arrival of materials to support production and customer needs
  • Manage consumption rate, Days of Inventory On-Hand (DIO), Aged Inventory and Expiry reports within assigned commodities and materials
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on relevant products to the customer and suppliers
  • Prepare reports and records related to buying and inventory activities
  • Work alongside Regulatory and Quality to support the onboarding of new materials and suppliers
  • Work with other departments to ensure that project goals and expectations can be met
  • Manage inventory levels and review MIRB materials supporting the G&A department for quick removal of inventory approved for destruction
  • Support Notice of Event (NOE) investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure repeat non-conformances are eliminated
  • Support physical inventory projects for internal and customer inventory purposes

Integrated Strategic Sourcing Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement, preferably in the cosmetic or related industry
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Procurement, Sales and Operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior knowledge or ability to learn about market trends, conditions, seasonality, perishability and inventory turns expertise
  • Able to work independently and communicate effectively (written and verbal)
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Demonstrated professional leadership and negotiation abilities
  • Familiarity or working knowledge of ERP systems; SAGE X3 is highly desired
  • Proficiency in Excel, other Microsoft Office products, and Windows-based programs
  • Ability to analyze multiple forms of data as they relate to the decision-making process
  • Quickly adapt to changing conditions
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Detail-oriented and superior organizational skills
