Insurance Verification Specialist Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accuracy in billing and claims processing
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve coverage issues and discrepancies
- Provide timely follow-ups on pending authorizations and insurance verifications
- Ensure that all patient information is accurately entered and maintained in the system
- Collaborate with billing, collections, and other departments to streamline processes and patient care
Insurance Verification Specialist Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in insurance verification or medical billing within a healthcare environment
- Familiarity with healthcare insurance plans and processes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
