Our client is a high-growth tech startup in Dallas, TX, and they are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join their team! This is a brand-new position that has been created to support their growth and will work directly under their Director of HR. They are passionate about fostering a cohesive and engaging company culture amidst their growth and change, so having an on-site presence 4 days/week is important. This person will play a vital role in employee satisfaction and culture, as well as employee relations, HRIS management and more. If this sounds like you, keep reading!

HR Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues
  • Handle initial conversations and gather information for investigations, escalating major issues to senior HR
  • Collaborate daily with the Employee Health and Safety (EHS) team
  • Manage smaller ER issues such as attendance problems, minor disputes and more
  • Manage and utilize HRIS for tracking discussions, ER investigations and various HR initiatives
  • Ensure accurate data entry, tracking and reporting
  • Present correlated information and data to leadership
  • Promote and develop company culture to ensure all employees feel connected and engaged
  • Conduct employee surveys and analyze feedback
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions and webinars, including live training for night shift employees occasionally
  • Handle workers' compensation claims and related processes
  • Conduct training sessions confidently and occasionally create training materials
  • Be flexible to provide occasional live training sessions for night shift employees

HR Generalist Requirements:
  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a publicly traded company or corporate environment
  • Proven experience in employee relations and workers' compensation
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems; experience with Paycom is a plus
  • Strong ability to present and conduct training sessions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree is not required; however, experience in a corporate environment is essential for candidates without a degree
