Job Description

Our client - a prestigious and globally recognized leader in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry - is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner to join their team in downtown Chicago. This is a hybrid role requiring you to be on site 3 days/week. Please do not apply if this is not doable.  

As an HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping their organizational success by collaborating closely with Vice Presidents, Directors and other business leaders and driving HR initiatives that align with their strategic objectives. This position requires a strong background in the Consumer-Packaged Goods space and previous experience in corporate HR functions. 

 

 

HR Business Partner Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with VP's and business leaders to understand and address their HR needs, providing strategic guidance and support 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement HR programs, policies and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness 

  • Lead and facilitate talent management processes, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding and employee development 

  • Provide expertise and guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, offering insights on HR best practices and industry trends within the CPG sector 

  • Drive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and innovation. 

  • Manage and resolve complex HR issues, balancing business needs with employee welfare 

  • Stay abreast of industry developments and competitive trends to inform HR strategies 

 

HR Business Partner Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus 

  • Minimum of 7 consecutive years of experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry 

  • Proven track record of success in leading corporate HR functions within CPG organizations with 1,000+ employees 

  • Strong understanding of the CPG market and familiarity with industry-specific challenges and opportunities 

  • Ideally has people management experience, but not required 

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills 

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders to drive HR initiatives 

  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws and regulations 

  • Passion for fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace culture
