Job Description

LaSalle Network is seeking an experienced individual to join our client’s team as the Head of Development. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of four talented developers. Your primary focus will be to provide strategic direction, technical guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of projects and the growth of your team members.

Head of Development Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of four developers by setting clear goals, providing direction and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Guide the team in the development and implementation of high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements and timelines
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks and take proactive measures to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
  • Provide technical expertise and hands-on guidance to the team in solving complex technical challenges and making sound architectural decisions
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team by providing coaching, training and mentorship
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide feedback, track performance and support their professional growth
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices to drive innovation and improve team efficiency
  • Act as a role model for the team, demonstrating strong leadership qualities, effective communication and a passion for software development

Head of Development Requirements:
  • Experience working with Joomla and Python
  • Experience working with Omeda and Housebot a plus
  • Relevant experience in a leadership position
