LaSalle Network is partnering with a Dallas-based client to hire a Head of Compensation & Benefits.  
The Head of Compensation & Benefits for the US will be the key compensation and benefits advisor for the region and part of the US HR leadership team. Integrated within the Global Reward Center of Excellence (CoE), reporting to the Global Compensation Lead, the role provides a rare opportunity for an experienced professional to be accountable for the execution of both compensation and benefits programs in the US region.  

Head of Compensation & Benefits Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert and partner to the Regional HR Lead as well as the single point of contact for all Total Rewards matters for the region 
  • Play active role in supporting the design of total rewards programs, policies and processes ensuring market competitiveness, cost-effectiveness and continuous improvement of our efficiency as a COE 
  • Roll-out the annual compensation program and processes in the US in line with the definitions from corporate (e.g., salary survey participation, compensation budgeting, salary review, benchmarking, merit, bonus, long-term incentive programs)
  • Develop, administer and maintain market data analysis, salary structure and bonus structure in the region in alignment with the global framework 
  • Manage vendor relationships inclusive of insurance companies, broker, third-party administrators, data providers and law firms 
  • Maintain compliance with all US government regulations governing the compensation and benefits area and ensures compliance with reporting requirements as well as with other internal and external (statutory) requirements 
  • Champion clear Total Reward communication and drive HR training and education in all aspects of the Total Reward roadmap 
  • Proactively plan and roll out compensation and benefit communications to enhance employees’ understanding of our plan coverage and improve the US employee experience  
  • Participate and/or lead global projects and initiatives covering process improvements, outsourcing and automation of our compensation and benefits programs 

Head of Compensation & Benefits Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related field 
  • 10+ years of experience in compensation and benefits 
  • Extensive experience in implementing Compensation and/or Benefits projects or programs across multiple countries or sites, outside the US 
  • Previous experience owning and driving the annual compensation processes required, ideally in a global or multiregional environment 
  • Working knowledge of ERISA and all applicable laws and compliance regulations surrounding health and welfare benefit administration including, but not limited to ADA, FMLA, FLSA, FMLA, ERISA, OSHA, COBRA, PPACA, HIPAA, etc. 
  • MS Office Advanced (Excel, Power Point) 
  • Proficiency in HR Systems, Workday a plus 
  • Certified Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) preferred or related certification an advantage 
  • Knowledge of the regional employment legislation, US C&B market practices and evolving local regulatory requirements 
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
