Global Payroll Manager Responsibilities:
- Process multi-country payroll for a large employee population
- Manage payroll for salaried, hourly, full-time, part-time, and potentially other employment types (e.g., contractors, expats)
- Oversee payroll processing across multiple countries, navigating varying tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Manage the relationship with global payroll vendors and ensure service level agreements are met
- Oversee the processing and filing of international payroll taxes and social security contributions
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations related to payroll in each country of operation
- Conduct regular payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage and mentor a team of 4 payroll professionals
- Develop and implement global payroll policies and procedures
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations
- Stay up-to-date on changes in international payroll laws and regulations
- Lead or participate in global payroll system implementations or upgrades
Global Payroll Manager Requirements:
- Proven experience in global payroll processing, including multi-country payroll and international taxation
- Strong knowledge of international payroll tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Experience managing global payroll vendors and service providers
- Proficiency in global payroll software systems (specify preferred systems if any)
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of 1 a global, cross-functional team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a large, multinational organization, ideally within the CPG industry, is preferred
- Experience with payroll system implementations is a plus
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPP, GPC) are a plus
- Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a team
