Job Description

We are partnering with a leading communications agency dedicated to transforming complex medical and scientific information into engaging and understandable content. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Medical Writer to join their dynamic team.

You will play a crucial role in translating scientific and medical information into clear, accurate and compelling content across various mediums. This is a part-time (5-10 hours) freelance position, fully remote. 

Medical Writer Responsibilities:

  • Research, write and edit medical and scientific content, including but not limited to articles, whitepapers, educational materials and presentations
  • Translate complex medical and scientific information into accessible and comprehensible language for healthcare professionals, patients and the general public
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to regulatory guidelines in all written materials, including compliance with relevant style guides and standards
  •  Stay informed about regulatory requirements related to healthcare communications and ensure all materials adhere to relevant regulations

Medical Writer Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or medical field (e.g., life sciences, pharmacology, medicine or related)
  • Proven experience in medical writing, with a strong portfolio of previous work in healthcare communications
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with an ability to adapt writing style for diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of medical and scientific terminology and the ability to interpret and communicate complex data
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, including FDA and EMA guidelines, is a plus
