Job Description

Our client is seeking a Director of Student Finances who will oversee the operations of the student services team and ensure that tuition and fees of close to $1 billion annually are correctly charged and billed.

Director of Student Finances Responsibilities: 
  • Support the University’s goals of providing transformative customer service and continuous improvement in processes and use of technology
  • Manage financial operations and or analysis in support of area/unit's mission and in coordination with central offices such as HR, Budget, Financial Aid, Facilities, Purchasing, IT, Provost, etc. 
  • Review a portfolio of multiple schools/depts' financial operations comprised of work that involves some extremely difficult problems and decisions
  • Manage daily, monthly, quarterly and annual financial processes for the area or program

Director of Student Finances Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or MBA
  • Prior Student Accounts or Bursar experience
  • 5 years of experience leading team, preferably accounting and/or customer service
  • Understanding of higher education student finance function and issues
  • Analysis and troubleshooting skills
